My Story Continues

Part of the Tattoo Stories series – symbols that carry survival, identity, and resilience.

Gentle reflection: This post touches on survival and mental health.

Photograph of a black ink tattoo on the inner wrist that reads ‘F;ghter,’ with the semicolon replacing the letter i. The tattoo is shown on authentic skin tone against a wooden background, cropped closely so the word is central.

This semicolon marks the place where an ending could have been, but wasn’t. It’s a mark of survival, of choosing to keep writing my story.

There were times I thought my story was finished, times when the pain felt louder than the hope. But this tattoo is proof that pauses aren’t endings; they’re continuations.

It reminds me daily that survival is powerful, that scars are not weakness, but evidence of strength.

That’s why I keep weaving awareness, so no one feels alone in their story.

What symbol reminds you to keep going when the page feels too heavy to turn?
