Work With WovenAware

Lived-experience insight. Accessible partnerships. Shared purpose.

WovenAware is a reflective platform shaped by Deaf lived experience, exploring access, identity, power, systems, and awareness.

Through reflections, resources, toolkits, and visual storytelling, the platform supports awareness, understanding, and meaningful conversation.

Opportunities for collaboration, consultation, speaking, and project work may be available where there is strong alignment with WovenAware’s values and purpose.

Ways to Engage

Collaboration

Collaboration may include:

  • Resource or toolkit development

  • Content partnerships

  • Co-created projects

  • Community-focused initiatives

  • Creative and reflective work

All collaboration is agreed in advance with a clear scope, expectations, and timelines.

Consultation & Advisory Input

Consultation is available for organisations, projects, and individuals seeking Deaf-centred, trauma-aware, and lived-experience-informed perspectives.

This may include:

  • Accessibility and inclusion

  • Deaf-centred practice

  • Communication access

  • Power dynamics and lived experience

  • Resource review and feedback

  • Early-stage project development

Speaking & Conversations

WovenAware may be available for:

  • Podcasts

  • Panel discussions

  • Community conversations

  • Interviews

  • Awareness events

  • Learning and reflection spaces

Availability depends on alignment, capacity, and access arrangements.

Access & Communication

WovenAware is shaped by Deaf lived experience.

Accessibility should be planned from the outset rather than added later. Access requirements, communication arrangements, and expectations should be discussed during initial conversations.

Access is not an optional extra. It is part of meaningful participation.

Values & Boundaries

WovenAware works best when there is a shared understanding around:

  • Respect Deaf lived expertise and lived experience

  • Value reflection as much as action

  • Understand the importance of accessibility

  • Support trauma-aware and equity-centred approaches

  • Recognise that sustainable work requires healthy boundaries

To protect the integrity of the platform:

  • Ongoing voluntary roles are not accepted

  • Unpaid consultancy or advisory work is not provided

  • Emotional processing or crisis support for organisations is not offered

  • Work cannot proceed without agreed access arrangements

Fees & Availability

An initial exploratory conversation may be offered to discuss alignment and scope.

Consultation, advisory work, speaking, and project involvement are provided on a paid basis.

Fees vary depending on the nature of the work and will be discussed once expectations and requirements are clear.
