Castle of Imagination

Gentle reflection: This post touches on imagination, creativity, and holding onto childhood wonder.

Close-up of a black-and-grey tattoo showing a detailed fairy-tale castle rising above an open book, with sweeping magical lines, small stars and fireworks surrounding the castle.

There were moments when imagination was where I felt most free.

This tattoo holds a castle.

For me, it represents wonder, creativity, and the stories that shaped how I see the world.

As a child, imagination gave me somewhere to go beyond what was happening around me.

It opened doors to adventure, possibility, and hope.

The castle reminds me that creativity has always been part of who I am.

Not something I grew into.

Something I carried with me.

Even now, it connects me to the part of myself that still dreams, creates, and believes there is more to discover.

This tattoo helps me remember:

Wonder does not belong only to childhood.

It still lives within me.
