My Hero’s Journey | Part 1: The Ordinary World
Survival, Silence, and Adaptation
I grew up in a world that wasn’t built for me, learning early how to survive through silence, observation, and instinct.
At the time, I didn’t have words for what survival was asking of me.
I only knew how to adapt, how to keep going, and how to stay steady in places that did not always feel made for someone like me.
Looking back, I can see that survival had its own language.
It spoke through endurance, quiet strength, and the adjustments I made without even realising I was making them.
What looked ordinary from the outside was already shaping me.
And even then, before I understood it, survival was its own kind of strength.
