Peace Found Its Way Into the Quiet

Sometimes peace isn't loud.

Sometimes it arrives quietly, without asking to be noticed.

Looking at this moment, I remember feeling something I hadn't always felt growing up.

Calm.

No rushing.

No fixing.

No trying to hold everything together.

Just a family standing together, looking out across the water.

For years, I imagined what safety might feel like.

Not physical safety.

The deeper kind.

The feeling of knowing you belong.

The feeling of being able to rest.

When I look at this photograph now, that's what I see.

Not a perfect life.

Not a perfect moment.

Just a quiet reminder of something I once hoped for and eventually found.

Watching them together, I realised that some dreams arrive gently.

And sometimes peace finds its way into the quiet.
