Be Kind

Gentle reflection: This post touches on compassion, self-kindness, and emotional grounding.

Photograph of a simple script tattoo on the wrist reading “Be Kind” in black ink. The skin tone is shown in natural light with a soft sepia overlay.

There were moments when kindness felt hardest to hold onto.

This tattoo says two simple words:

Be Kind.

For me, they are more than a reminder about how I treat others.

They are also a reminder about how I treat myself.

There have been times when life felt heavy, when grief, trauma, or exhaustion made kindness difficult to find.

This tattoo brings me back to something simple.

To pause.

To soften.

To remember that kindness does not have to be loud to matter.

I return to these words often, especially when life is not gentle.

This tattoo helps me remember:

Kindness is something I can choose, again and again.
